Did you fail your DOT Urine Analysis test? We can help!

Did you recently fail your Department of Transportation (DOT) urine analysis test due to blood in the urine? We see many CDL operators and FFA pilots needing medical clearance.

As Urology specialists, The Y Factor can identify and address the root cause of your hematuria and give you the medical clearance to get you back on the road.

We offer same day appointments available at most of our six locations across the greater Houston area and we even have late appointments if you need to see us after work. We’re focused on helping you get your urological health back on track and to help you get back to work!

So what exactly is the DOT/FFA looking for in their urine analysis? FFA and DOT physicals require a urine test that checks for three things: glucose, protein, and blood.

The common findings from the urine analysis are:

  • Glycosuria (glucose in the urine) can be a sign of poor blood sugar control such as diabetes.
  • Proteinuria (protein in the urine) can be a sign of kidney damage or health issues such as hypertension and diabetes.
  • Hematuria (blood in the urine) can be a sign of kidney stones, infection, or even certain types of cancer.

We offer X-ray testing and a procedure (cystoscopy) uniquely provided by urologist.

The Y Factor’s team of trained experts are ready to see you in Missouri City, Memorial, Richmond, Tomball, Webster, and The Woodlands in case you had a failed urine analysis test during your DOT exam. You can book your appointment here or call us at (832) 358-8600.
