What to Expect as a New Patient?

Welcome! As a new patient, you can expect an easy check-in at our convenient kiosk, eliminating time consuming paperwork.

Our medical staff will then assess the new patient with a complete history and physical, going over any signs and symptoms regarding the patient’s complaint.

After we understand the underlying cause of your health problem, one of our providers will recommend an individualized treatment plan that is specifically tailored to the new patient’s needs.

Do We Take Insurance?

Yes, we accept all major insurance plans: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CIGNA, Tricare, PHCS and UnitedHealthcare.

At The Y Factor, we realize that medical care can be expensive. In an attempt to help you – our patients, we can also work with the “Out of Network” benefits of most health insurance plans, and we accept Care Credit.

Where Do I Get My Labs Done?

Lab Corp is the primary lab recommended by The Y Factor. This laboratory is electronically linked to our medical record system, providing timely results. Patients may request an alternative lab of their choice and our staff will be happy to accommodate these special requests.

Lab Corp has multiple convenient locations in the Greater Houston area.

The Y Factor offers convenient at-home semen analysis kits where you can provide the sample in the privacy of your own home and mail it back to us for review! Learn more about our kits here. There are also several specialty Andrology labs are used for semen analysis and semen cultures. These specialized labs provide the detailed information necessary to develop an individualized treatment plan. There are multiple locations across the Greater Houston area.

The Y Factor provides specialized ultrasound imaging technology as a diagnostic tool. Our ultrasound technologist is located at The Y Factor Memorial office.
