MANday Topic- Who You Associate With Matters!
All physicians undergo formal training and eventually choose areas of specialization that allows them to practice the best quality of medicine. These sub-specialties of medicine have extensive research and governance resources that empower physicians to practice the highest quality medicine. We call this the standard of care!
The Y Factor: Men’s Urological Wellness & Fertility is associated with these recognized, high-quality associations that specialize in men’s urological wellness and fertility. The Y Factor, as a participating member in these associations, is the first to receive breakthroughs in research and treatments, access to research debates on approaches to treatment, and first to receive cautions on side effects and risks of treatment. Some of these associations include the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), American Urological Association (AUA), American Board of Urology, and Texas Medical Association.
American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) is best to guide The Y Factor in treating the infertile couple. This is a subspecialty selective organization of reproductive Urologist and fertility gynecologist. This is a society that examines both formal disciplines to determine the best approach to helping the infertile couple.
The American Urological Association (AUA) is an organization that is specifically on the cutting edge of research of prostate health, male hormone management, sexual function, prostate, and cancer research. Specifically, the AUA helps guide the team members of The Y Factor in testosterone management to maximize men’s health and minimize risk of treatment. Furthermore, the AUA is instrumental in helping The Y Factor develop guidelines for sexual dysfunction treatment and prostate cancer screening.
American Board of Urology is a high-level certifying organization that only provides board certifications to Urologist who have completed an extensive formal training in urology and have demonstrated a high level of quality of practice in the community. Certification is only bestowed upon Urologists after reviewing his formal education, recommendations from his formal education, his practice of patient care including any complications, and recommendations from physicians in the community who know that Urologist well. Certifications are only maintained if that Urologist continues with medical training every year.
The Texas Medical Association (TMA) is the nation’s most powerful medical association and supports physicians to develop best-practice guidelines to comply with state and federal regulations. Specifically, the Texas Medical Association assists The Y Factor in assuring patient privacy, participation in insurance programs, and practice insurance to protect our patients for the best quality of care.
