MANday: Men’s Health Awareness Month is Here!

You’ve probably seen a lot of men in your communities growing a mustache or posting about Movember, but do you know why they’re doing it? Movember has become an institution that brings awareness to men’s health. Did you know November is Men’s Health Awareness month? Charities like Movember help bring awareness to the month which of course brings awareness to the importance of men getting checked for prostate and testicular cancer. While most men see the message, they’re probably overwhelmed because they don’t have a relationship with a Urologist. That’s where we, The Y Factor, come in for the month of November!

Here at The Y Factor, we are dedicated to men’s health and are excited to see so much awareness brought to men’s health during November! No matter your age or stage in life, a men’s health exam is important. According to the AUA, men 18 and above should be screened in areas of voiding health (urination), reproductive health and sexual health.

Our urological wellness exam will check to see if any problems exist in these areas as well as screening for testicular and prostate cancer. We also provide general health screenings along with our focused exams with our premium providers. Our exams are fast, efficient and yield high amounts of information for your health screening so you can feel confident about your urological and overall health. November is the perfect month to schedule your annual health screening exam at any of our six locations across the greater Houston area at The Y Factor. Women have OB’s and men have The Y Factor!
